Dr Kerri Walster, Clinical Psychologist, has worked as a pathway lead for families with children under the age of five in a CAMH service, in East London NHS Trust since 2020. Prior to this she worked in a specialist perinatal and under five’s service for the Tavistock and Portman since 2017.
She completed a BSc in psychology in 2013, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2017. Since qualifying, she has trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Incredible Year’s Toddler’s Parenting Programme, Video Intervention for Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline (VIPP-SD) and gained an Infant Mental Health Diploma in 2020.
Kerri is a supervisor offering child psychotherapists/psychologists, midwives, and health visitors, a reflective space for the important work they do with parents, and also accesses regular supervision and training for guidance and learning in her own practice.
She is BPS, HPCP registered and is with a healthcare insurance provider.
Kerri is a keen advocate for empowered mothering and fathering, and resistance to individualised narratives about parenting. She works integratively drawing on a range of theoretical approaches to inform her work primarily, attachment theory, systemic practice, psychodynamic and neurodevelopmental approaches. Kerri has experience of working with children and adolescents across the age range 0-18
